Review of Tarzan the Ape Man (1932) by Michael K — 25 Dec 2007
A masterpiece of 30's cinema. A big, sexy, violent adventure with superb performances from Johnny Weissmuller and the beautiful Maureen O'Sullivan in particular and impressively integrated animal setpieces and stunts.
Vine swinging action at it's best, aimed at a mature audience. The sequel, Tarzan And His Mate, is equally brilliant.
