Review of Tarzan Finds a Son! (1939) by Bryan C — 08 Dec 2008
The only interesting thing in this movie is how Jane and Tarzan have to find an infant in the jungle rather than make one of their own, as if the idea that a non-church sanctioned marriage between a civilized woman and a beast-man of the jungle was too risque for bearing children.
At least they make a good story out of it. Once again British people traipse into the jungle to find Tarzan, and once again they get greedy for ivory. The repetition is tiresome when you watch the movies back to back.
They're still recycling action footage from the first film (and that footage was probably recycled from earlier silent films). Tarzan is the perfect example of what a disservice censorship did to Hollywood.
