Review of Tarzan (1999) by Christopher S — 19 Apr 2012
This film could have been much better. I could see how this was the last of the Disney animated 1990s. Pixar had better animations and better stories. The Tarzan story was done relatively well and the voice talent was one of the best Disney films ever had.
However, it was extremely cheesy and very over the top. I also love Phil Collins but was it really necessary to play his songs throughout the entire film? Compared to other Disney films from the 1990s, this one just did not match up to Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and the Lion King.
Still, not horrible with some good moments in the film.
