Review of Tarzan (1999) by Andrew M — 25 Oct 2010
A softened version of the real tarzan as with most disney movies do compared to the original concepts but, I didn't say it was bad. Tarzan is a great action packed animated adventure with a great soundtrack from Phil collins and a touching story.
At the beginning we discover how Tarzan was found and we go through a short growing up montage as we see him as a young boy, and then finally a fully grown man. The film takes place around the early 1900's as we meet explorers who visit the island. An old man, his daughter and Clayton, a man to protect.
Jane and her father have came to this Jungle to research gorillas and end up discovering something much greater. A great movie moment of this film is when Tarzan meets Jane.
We learn the balance of nature and what it would be like if a human was raised by apes. A very interesting story indeed. Kids will love this film and so will adults. There's humour, great characters, fantastic soundtrack and as always spectacular animation.
