Review of Tarzan (1999) by Johannes S — 26 Apr 2009
Well animated and very sentimental partly. I got a little bit annoyed by the music though, the cheesy drum-songs by Phil Collins made it feel like some 80's Mtv clip from Genesis rather than a movie at times.
Humans look a bit different in Disney movies the last fifteen years or so, Tarzan has double the chin of Jay Leno + the haircut of a rastafari and to that has been given body builder features and Jane quite resembles Japanese Anime girls.
Jane is the most alive person in the film, one of the better female Disney characters in their animated films later years.
