Review of Tarzan (1999) by Brandon W — 10 Aug 2014
Disney's Tarzan has one of the most beautiful animations I have ever seen in a long time. It could've easily been style over endurance, but Tarzan is funny, it's exciting, and it has great chemistry between Tarzan and Jane.
I knew a lot about Tarzan which is good because it is based on a book and even people who hasn't read it would like this and know about the characters. The movie is a bit predictable and I knew how it's gonna end, and despite knowing the characters, I honestly don't really know much about Clayton.
The voice acting for him is great and so is the others, but the movie didn't explain his motivation enough or even give a backstory. There was one time he talk about one of his story experiences, but it was vague and the viewers need to know more about him, give more of the stories he tells.
I knew more about saber then I know about Clayton. Despite those flaws, Disney's Tarzan is a great movie that kids and families would enjoy. Even the songs are really good and kids might sing to that.
I thought that the characters were gonna sing with the music coming on, but they actually didn't. There was one song that the characters were singing, but it was fitting to the mood of it. Go see this movie if you haven't yet.
