Richard linklater has already proven what a good movie director he is with school of rock, a scanner darkly, and before sunset and before sunrise. but this is one of the best movies hes ever made.
Robert sean leonard and uma thurman give convincing performances, but ethan hawke gives the performance of his life. aside from training day, there is no other movie that could compare to his amazing performance.
In just 83 minutes, and one location, linklater has proven himself to be worthy of the directors chair.
