Review of Tape (2001) by Jake P — 20 Aug 2007
Interesting film this one setting in a hotel room three people, and I believe based on a stage play.
Ethan hawke is vince, staying at the hotel, awaiting his mate to arrive in town for business john, played by robert sean leonard, they chat away, when conversation turns to amy, and what john did to her in the past. then amy( uma thurman turns up invited by vince,.
Once you get used to the digital camera work and quality, and hawkes performance, hes not very likeable, its a great watch, great for you wannabee directors out there, 1 setting digitll camera is all you need, great performances all round, and from richard linkleter, a great director who you never know whats hes gonna do next, hes done skanner darkley, and school of rock, very different, but for film fans only I think.
