Leave it to richard linklater to make an interesting film about three characters hanging out in a motel room. the story centers around an incident that happened while they were back at high-school. the dialogue starts innocently enough but begins to take some strange twists and turns.
at times I questioned the peculiar questions and discussion. turns out, this was for the sole purpose of uncovering this incident. once the incident is brought to light, the dialogue becomes more heated and the characters shift from once friends/now acquaintances to adversaries.
fascinating dialogue and great tension extracted from this simple premise.
