Review of Tangled (2010) by Anna P — 14 Jul 2013
Tangled is the movie Disney needed as a true comeback from it's ditch of generally OK movies. It was cute for children but had the heart and wit to entertain older audiences, maybe even trigger some of that Disney magic nostalgia.
The music was admittedly not as memorable to the like of The Little Mermaid or Aladdin, but they were still pretty good and catchy, and "I See the Light" might go up there with some of Disney's best love songs.
The characters were likable, and while they might have been a little two-dimensional, there was enough character development to overcome that obstacle in the last few scenes. Plenty of humor, beautiful animation, heart, action, and suspense for all audiences.
Definitely worth seeing at least once, though I could watch it again and again.
