Review of Tangled (2001) by Sam D — 02 Jul 2013
Tangled is hardly an original Disney Princess flick, but it is an enjoyable one, with enough unique twists to keep things fresh. It's also strengthened by great characters (particularly Ryder and Rapunzel herself), a solid script and a lot of likeable songs.
The voice work is great as usual and the visual, slapstick gags are prominent. Bolstered by sensation animation and plenty of exciting minor characters, Tangled is highly imaginative, as most of the Disney Classics are.
Walt and Roy would've been proud, is there a greater compliment?
