Review of Tangerine (2015) by Frank C — 27 Jul 2015
Like a rougher-edged Almovodar comedy (or a "Crash" that acknowledges LGBT people), this shot-on-a-shoestring indie has brash attitude and big laughs to spare, but also moments of exquisite tenderness, mostly courtesy of the fierce and formidable Mya Taylor, who completely owns every scene she's in (especially an almost unbearably poignant musical number).
Don't miss it.
