Review of Tangerine (2015) by Bryan S — 12 Sep 2015
A-.
Wickedly funny, and surprisingly well paced. It would've been easy for this movie to go off the rails, into a cliche' riddled diva-land, of sorts, but the humane heart at it's center keeps that from happening. The movie never wallows in the obvious challenge of the lifestyles herein... it runs past those assumptions with great confidence and a strong cast of unknowns (to me, anyway); with at least one star being born (Kitina Kiki as Sin-Dee).
