Review of Tangerine (2015) by Matt G — 18 Jan 2017
One of the funniest sad movies I've seen in awhile. Known as the "iPhone movie" since it was completely shot on one, and it fits since it plays like a day-in-the-life of this group of American outcasts.
With vibrant editing, pulsing music, an unforgettable carwash scene, and forever-memorable breakout performances Rodriguez and Taylor, Tangerine is what indie filmmaking can be at its best: inventive, affecting and dangerous.
