Review of Tangerine (2015) by Bec P — 10 Jul 2016
"Tangerine" feels feel. It feels authentic. The three main characters absorb you into a film that is essentially about a working girl, who spent the last 28 days in jail, looking for her pimp/boyfriend.
The journey that our lead, Sin Dee (Kitana Kiki Rodriguez) goes on is fun. Her best friend, Alexandra, wonderfully played by Mya Taylor, goes along for the ride but their paths diverge. It all comes back together interwoven with a john who is fascinated by Sin Dee.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this happened in real life.
