I like Melissa McCarthy in the films she was in, The Heat, Bridesmaids, even Identity Thief. But I wasn't looking forward to Tammy as the trailers didn't made me laugh. But I'm like, why not? I'll watch it, and hopefully it won't be like the Adam Sandler movies.
Tammy is better than the recent Adam Sandler films, but it wasn't funny enough to make me think that it's a good movie. The beginning, was very mean spirited, unfunny, and just hard to watch. When it gets to the middle and end, it got better and more calm.
The jokes were not funny, but never did I groan at them like the Adam Sandler films, and I chuckle at them here and there. The plot is just there, the cast is great, but is just there and didn't spend time of giving them enough lines or funny moments for me to think that they have a purpose in it.
The funniest part of the movie was Dan Aykroyd, he was funny in it and had some lines that were well executed, but he was barely in it and just felt wasted. Although the most of the jokes didn't made me laugh, I didn't get bored of the movie, and I think it's because the acting was great.
Tammy was an all right movie that really could've been better and funnier.
