Review of Tamara Drewe (2010) by Michael M — 12 Nov 2010
An entertaining movie, with a very nice looking Gemma Arterton as the main actress (The hottie from Prince of Persia/Clash of the Titans ;)) and a bunch of good British actors. The landscapes are beautiful in this part of the UK and it brings a special taste to the movie.
However, apart from some rare exceptions, this comedy fails to bring well done jokes or humoristic quotes (a lot of slang language is used though). It is entertaining, but it stops there. Tamara's decisions are sometimes a bit weird (I am not a woman, but some of them don't really make sense anyway :)) and the ending is full of shortcuts, like if the director saw that the movie was already above 1.
40 and decided to cut the story short.
