Review of Tamara Drewe (2010) by Faisal A — 23 Jun 2011
Tamara Drewe is an interesting hybrid of a literary roundelay and a post-feminist manifesto. It doesn't hold together that well, but there are enough moments of wry inspiration to keep the movie more or less afloat.
It succeeds as a comedy of manners and observation, though it errs in presenting us with a wide array of interesting characters.
