Review of Tamara Drewe (2010) by Peter A — 28 Dec 2011
A very English sort of comedy with Gemma Arterton starring as the once ugly local girl returing to her Dorset home town and turning it upside down with her charms. Infidelity, obsession, a writer's club and a herd of stampeding cows combine to make this a gentle sort of comedy with no laugh out loud moments.
Well directed by Stephen Frears its the sort of film you could show to your mum.
