A modern-day, screwball reimagining of Thomas Hardy's 1874 novel "Far from the Madding Crowd" (with sex and grownup characters!), Stephen Frears' "Tamara Drewe" is an odd, oddly lovable, well-acted and funny duck.
It quacked me up.
