Review of Talons of the Eagle (1992) by Robert B — 11 Oct 2009
If this movie came out about 15 years before, it might have been a hit, but being released long after martial arts films were popular doesn't do it many favors. As add in a totally perdictable story, bad acting, bad scripting, and it doesn't lend itself to being worthwhile.
Billy Blanks shows the acting ability that would make him a late night infomercial pitchmen. The action sequences are believable enough, but their just boring. The title theme is just a piece of crap that sounds like a feeble attempt to keep the 80s alive.
Some unintenionally funny moments make this sort of watchable, but's hard to sit through the garbage to get to those.
