Review of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) by Stevea — 16 Dec 2006
Had some extremely funny scenes, especially in the first half. The first dinner scene was hilarious: That grandpa and those kids! Also, I thought the John Honcho bit was hilarious, too. I loved comedian Cohen in Borat, but I didn't care for his character in this movie: his character just wasn't villianous enough.
Some of the jokes, like the crepes bit at the bar, felt too long. However, there were more hits than misses when it came to jokes. And I liked that it stayed true to its characters, like the dad's character.
