Review of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) by Rev.rikard — 04 Aug 2006
If you like smart, thought provoking comedies (ala Woody Allen) Talladega Nights will disappoint you. However, if you want to enjoy an entertaining afternoon this film isn't bad. McKay pits a good ol boy sport against the gay lifestyle, family values against a twisted understanding of what those values are.
Toss Will Ferrell at his funniest and you have Talladega Nights. It has not been a great year for comedies, but this one is at least enjoyable.
