Not the cliche film I expected. It holds up well and stands out amongst the saturated market of coming of age horror films that toss teenagers into peril. It has a compelling story and the performances of the cast members are convincingly genuine.
The introduction of the film’s central macguffin also leaves the film open to sequels and prequels. Among one of its best qualities is the films clever use of sound.
