Review of Talk to Me (2007) by Gary C — 02 Sep 2008
Based on a true story, an entertaining insight into a DJ of a Washington R'n'B Station in late 60's onwards. It might be a slight tale but Cheadle and Ejiofor are great to watch together. The initial set-up feels a little too stereotyped and telegraphed; the "Pimp" style DJ and his girl are a little too full on at first, but the comedic melodrama gets turned down a notch as the film progresses.
