Review of Talk to Me (1996) by Khnemu M — 10 Apr 2008
Some cynics may find it cliched, and its not especially imaginative, but that's not even what it's about. A great script directed with honesty and respect, and an award-worthy performance by Don Cheadle. He's as good here as Hotel Rwanda, if not better. It's simply a joy to watch him perform, and he's matched scene for scene by Chiwetel Ejeifor. This guy's moving up (REDBELT!), and he's fucking great. Next time someone tells me I should take stage name, he shall be my example.
High marks also to Martin Sheen (I just really like Martin Sheen) and Taraji Henson. See it.
