Review of Talk to Me (1996) by Zach Y — 02 Aug 2008
The men in this film are great. cheadle and ejiofor have a chemistry like redford and newman, lemmon and matthau, etc. and the score with its combo of melodies by terence blanchard and 60s-70s soul music is a hit.
but the standout of this film is taraji p henson as the leading lady vonelle! she is a commanding presence whether she is dialoguing with either of the stars, wearing those fun 70s clothes or dancing across the screen.
she is so impressive!
