Review of Talk to Her (2002) by Pierluigi P — 09 Apr 2008
It's difficult to say what makes this film so fascinating, enriching, and revealing. The story is so sophisticated and told in such a magnificent fashion, yet it feels like there's no effort behind it.
Almodovar is something unique. The character he creates for this film, Beningo, is worth a study of its own. Even though it's about women in comas and the "lovers" they leave behind, it's a heartwarming film, like a piece of sweet sweet candy under a rough chocolate exterior.
