Weird and whimsical. Oh, girls in comas and lonely men. It's very sad, but strangely uplifting all the same. Really illustrates how truly, madly in love someone can be, and the things they'll do when they can't act upon it in any other way.
The art film parts are beautiful, and even make you think. Definitely the best Pedro Almodovar movie I've seen. The best Spanish movie I've seen altogether. Anyone who doesn't feel at least a shred of sympathy/empathy for the main character (the one with the lisp, Beningo?) is superficial and empty.
Watch it for yourself. No words can describe how great this movie is.
