Review of Talk to Her (2002) by Tor M — 07 Apr 2011
Quite slow film, with a concentrated plot - the girls in coma, and the two guys caring for them. I remember seeing it when I was 16 or 17 years old, either way I wasn't mature enough for a film like this back then. I joined a spanish class with some friends attending it and was at the cinema for free fun, and not the movie itself. I didn't fall for it then, but this time I was able to see it's beauty.
The film is smart and interesting. It really makes you think, "what would I do?" and "how crazy is that guy?" Visually it's a pretty piece, and it's very real at the same time - it makes me wanna visit Spain. The cast deliver, especially Cámara I think. A fine film, but I miss some superb scenes that are truly unforgetable. The on the endge, and half weird story is balanced and well presented, but it takes a while before it really opens up for you. You will never get the full answer or a complete ending though. Neat :).
