Review of Talk Radio (1988) by Maya S — 06 Apr 2008
This parable about a hateful, fast-talking Dallas radio host (loosly based on professional berater and very dead radio host Alan Berg) made me so paranoid and shakey that I had to watch something funny afterwards.
Oliver Stone is at his very best here, in this low-key semi-chamber piece that manages to keep the pace and tension in high gear, despite being a film about a dude talking into a mic behind a desk. An underrated film from Stone that shouldn't be missed.
