Review of Talk Radio (1988) by Masorad ( — 09 Dec 2008
Stone combines an acerbic Bogosian monologue with elements of the pulp true crime "Talked To Death," about the murder of incipient shock jock Alan Berg by members of "The Order" (cue Stewart Copeland's ominous glissando-filled soundtrack).
Over-the-top performance by Bogosian (although it pales in comparison to today's Limbaughs and O'Reillys) in a film where the talk is anything but cheap. Strange air, Barry. Strange air.
