Review of Talk Radio (1988) by Rocknblues 8 — 05 Jan 2010
Another really good film from Oliver Stone when he was in his prime. Eric Bogosian stars as a self-loathing radio host that likes to rip apart and antagonize his callers. Sooner or later he pushes one caller too far and the results get nasty. It's a really entertaining film that isn't really talked about a lot. It's witty, and darkly funny, but rather sad to see a man with so much hate that he ends up putting himself in a no win situation.
It's not Oliver's best, but it's one of his most entertaining. I would argue that it's one of the more underrated movies from the 80's, which is more known for action packed blockbuster films.
