If you want another great, unique and original horror film to watch for the Halloween season, Tales of Halloween is that film. The film is wrapped around ten interlocking segments that take place in a small town on one Halloween night, each segment directed by a different director.

Each segment is outstanding, offering something unique and different to the genre that this film is wrapped around. The directors of this remarkable and unique film are Neil Marshall (The Descent), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Repo! The Genetic Opera), Axelle Carolyn, Lucky McKee (May, The Woman), Andrew Kasch, Paul Solet, John Skipp, Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson, Mike Mendez, Ryan Schifrin, Dave Parker.

The segments are hilarious and well thought out, with the best ones being Sweet Tooth, which focuses a teenager babysitter and her boyfriend eating her charge's candy and meeting a terrible fate (written and directed by Dave Parker); The Night Billy Raised Hell, which comedically centers around a young boy being taught a lesson by an old man who is actually the devil (written by Clint Sears, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman); Grim Grinning Ghost, a young woman is taunted by a ghost in a unique and original ghost story (written and directed by Axelle Carolyn); Ding Dong, about a man who realizes his wife is a child hungry witch (written and directed by Lucky McKee); Friday the 31st, about a deformed serial killer who encounters a trick-or-treating extra-terrestrial (written by Mike Mendez and Dave Parker, directed by Mike Mendez) and Bad Seed, which focuses on a detective attempting to stop a genetically engineered killer pumpkin (written and directed by Neil Marshall).

To describe this film anymore would be a problem, since it would ruin some neat twists and unexpected surprises. The cinematography of each segment is remarkable and a throwback at times to old horror films, while the music is haunting and original. The cast of each segment does a great job, while the directors and writers do a terrific job of creating something not only original, but also very unique and unexpected and satisfyingly surprising.

This film is another great horror film to watch for Halloween, but also that every horror fans will undoubtedly enjoy and want to watch on multiple viewings. Job well done everyone and congratulations on creating something unexpected and absolutely fresh and original.
