Talaash is a usual Mumbai movie. A mixture of emotions, thrill and suspense. But what makes the difference is the demonstration of great acting skills by Amir Khan and Rani Mukherjee. It reminds of the 2009 Hollywood movie 'The Lovely Bones' by Peter Jackson.

And add to it 'What You Did Last Summer'. A bit slow in between, it has its own thrills. The clues are often placed deliberately to the viewers as was seen from Frenny's (Shehnaz Patel) histrionics.

At one point of time Amir reminds of The Beautiful Mind and also a touch of The Sixth Sense, though not as subtle as those greats. Farhan Akhtar's dialogue writing skills are good too. Kareena looked forceful at times.

Nawazuddin again thrills after Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur. There is a Reema Kagti directorial brilliance seen how she treats the blood soaked T shirt after the shooting. The nexus between the 3 Ps (pimps, prostitutes and police seems realistic enough.

The story has some suspense but at the end of it there is nothing much to tell. It is sad that, Bollywood again loses the plot, in originality and treatment of a movie. The film will do well due to Amir Khan's presence.

As you will say in India, 'just timepass'.
