Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Bill R — 28 Jan 2010
Ang Lee has an interesting way of directing. Almost have to have a taste for it with some of his movies. They aren't necessarly slow movies just at a pace that doesn't rush any of the story. This one fits into the pacing itself and getting it all there.
Lots of characters in this movie(obviously, it's the 60's and woodstock) and they all have a weird way of fitting in and not causing any issues really except the main story line. Martins acting is something to be worked on though.
I just didn't get that he was putting anything out there except his usual demeanor and if you all have seen his Comedy Central show you know what I mean. Other then that the movie was a decent watch.
