Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Carlos K — 22 May 2010

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. The reviews had me believing that Lee had missed the mark, yet again. Admittedly, it was not what I was expecting but I blame that on it's marketing. You might think that Eugene Levey played a major role. You bight be expecting comedy in abundance with someone like Demetri Martin in the lead role. You might expect awesome musical performances in a film about a pivotal event in Rock and Roll history..... but you would be wrong.

Instead, this is a film about family, friendship and community and it plays out fantastically on that level.

Check your expectations and then sit back to watch a really great film.
