What an utterly unexpected delight to end 2009 on! Ang Lee's gentle but beautifully observed movie about how Max Yasgur's farm came to be used for 1969's festival of love and peace turned out to be a marvellous and hugely enjoyable surprise.
Script and performances to die for (who would have thought Demetri Martin could act?) with dozens of clever nods to extracts from the original Woodstock film. Recommended all the way.
