Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Valerie O — 16 Jan 2010
A lot of great performances in this one: Imelda Staunton, Emile Hirsch, Liev Schreiber and Demetri martin ...I expected this to be a forgetable stoner comedy (which I thought was odd for Director Ang Lee) but it turned out to be much more.
This is not about the concert and there are no musical performance to be found in the film...its more about the behind the scenes aspect and coming of age in the sixties...I don't know why critics have such a hate on for this film.
...I loved it.
