Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Ilsa W — 21 Jan 2010
A great little film. A bit slow to start but picks up nicely. Some great acting from an interesting cast, Liev Schriber as a transvestite is particularly one to see. Ang Lee portrays the build up and the atmosphere perfectly.
The mix of stock footage and new makes you feel pulled along with the characters as they're drawn into the complicated organisations and eventually join in the drug-fuelled fun at this amazing historic festival.
Makes you want to go back in time, light a joint and go along with them!
