Taking Woodstock is Ang Lee's sweet and simple coming of age story set against the backdrop of the 1969 milestone musical festival. If you see this expecting to find out the backstory of the historic cultural event, you maybe disappointed.
However, taken for what it is, a small story of a young man, and ultimately a country's symbolic awakening, you might find this a rather nice side stage to the Woodstock main event.
