Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Bernard N — 24 Apr 2010
A light drama about how a small town is transformed to the most phenomenal event of the century 'The Woodstock', thanks to the deadwood hardworking filial son who doesn't give up on the town and the bitter parents.
Ang Lee does a good job reliving the whole experience from the eyes of this young man, never showing too much or too little of the event... just enough to overwhelm/tickle our imagination. It was a surreal, peaceful and magical 3 days of logistical nightmarish proportions .
..love the beautiful rendition of the sea.
