Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Stephanie H — 05 Jul 2010
The greatest festival ever held is brought to life and although overall it was good, parts peeved me. The main peev, Ang Lee trying to homosexual up every movie he does. I understood it in the context of this movie in the 60s and that, but I just felt it wasn't necessary.
He did however create the split screen very well, which combined well with the doco on Woodstock that has been done. The lead was very flimsy, I would of had a better cast actually, but all in all, the festival itself and the build up around it is worth watching.
As a fan of Woodstock, I'd rather watch the doco made than this.
