Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Je G — 02 Jan 2011
Is it strange that as a child I was oddly obsessed with Woodstock. I've watched the documentary at least a dozen times. I've always wished I had been around in 1969 to experience the magic of the era.
Instead I'm stuck with memories of neon socks and mesh t-shirts. Taking woodstock doesn't really show much of the festival itself but is more about the preparation leading up to the affair. How what was intended as one thing turned out to be a phenomenon that defined that generation.
Peace love and happiness man!
