Although this is a saturated market Taking Lives is actually a really effective thriller. It's enjoyable, the plot has effective turns and twists, and it makes the most of having a female lead.
If you like the genre, you'll like the film - although it might not hold up to the paradigms of detective thrillers - Taking Lives contributes something that I've rarely seen in other films of this type.
