Review of Taking Chance (2009) by Martha A — 23 May 2012
I think most Americans, including myself, think they "get" it" -- the sacrifice that so many in our armed forces make. This film though, sharpens the fuzzy edges of "I support our military" and brings about a clearer and more painful understanding with a quiet, knowing pace.
It's not political, so my friends on both sides, don't even start to get "puffy." It is, however, a perfect movie to watch over Memorial Day Weekend, given what Monday actually represents.
(I stumbled across it on HBO On Demand--uVerse).
