Review of Takers (2010) by Ricky G — 23 May 2011
Barley entertaing. All I expected was good heists and fun action, both of which were absent. Unfortunatley since T.I was the producer he wanted the "badass villian" role but his character could never co exist with the other "Takers" at any time.
A jazzy tattooed tough guy, a pretty boy, a accent switching britt, and two random brothers whose relationship isn't evident until the final act randomly tossed in with a street hood named Ghost. The cliched and predictable story leave less to be desired as the actual heist the film builds up to is absurd and poorly executed for professionals.
The awful operatic overtone towards the climax shootouts is rediculous and uneccesary. Sad letdown.
