Review of Takers (2010) by James R — 14 Jul 2011
What a terrible movie! I wasn't expecting too much from this movie which is probably a good thing. The movie is trying to be a modern day heist film like the likes of Heat, The Italian Job (which it even rips off of) or even Ronin. This movie fails on all levels.
The basic premise of of the movie is Ghost gets out of jail and trys to get his crew to do one last job with him. No one trusts Ghost because he's a lying sack of shit. Thats basically it. Theres not enough action and too much down time in between that does nothing to make you care for the characters.
The acting is terrible. T.I. wtf are you doing in movies? He was just terrible at one point he's even reciting what other people are doing as ig he was throwing props in a rap video...garbage! Chris Brown should keep with singing his "parkour" scene was crap. Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen were cardboard cut outs as usual.
The movie is a complete waste and I really can't recommend this one. The only redeeming factor is there is a scene about 15 minutes before the ending that was cool that involved Russians and a Hotel other than that...wow. Skip it.
