Review of Taken 3 (2014) by David B — 25 Jun 2016
What happened....this isn't the way I thought the series would end, what happened to the smart writing, good directing and great action sequences? The fighting isn't terrible but Liam Neeson doesn't go total badass this time, he's kind of more on the run than normal.
He's framed for a murder he didn't commit so he's running from the cops while trying to protect his daughter and figure out who's framing him with a few fighting scenes thrown in the middle.
There's more story this time and less action which is odd for the third film in a series but the writer threw it together in about 15 minutes, took his paycheck and left the building. Neeson is still good in the role, and Maggie Grace and Forest Whittaker are also good but this it a much slower moving film than the other 2 in the series.
And one more thing that is still bugging me is that the Villains can still not shoot, this needs to be corrected because the villains look like complete morons in these type of movies, owell, they'll get it eventually.
MILD RECOMMENDATION for Neeson and fans of the series.
