Even though Taken was made for phenomenal idiots, the film doesn't actually attempt to be better than anyone else or try to break to mould, it just has Liam Neeson killing dudes in order to win back his estranged daughter.
Every balding man's fantasy. But hey, if it isn't boring and doesn't offend me then Taken is right up my alley because Liam Neeson's authoritative tone and badass old guy persona is enough to get me in the theatre anyway seeing as he is bigger than God these days.
